Position Description

Due to continued business growth and expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to work in the Cloud Services Engineering department at Airedale by Modine, reporting directly to the Lead Project Engineer. The role involves assisting external and internal sales in queries relating to non-standard equipment, as well as completing design work for received non-standard orders.

Key Responsibilities Perform design calculations and component selections to ensure customers’ non-standard requirements are achievable prior to quotation. Liaise with Electrical and Mechanical CAD engineers within team and manufacturing personnel to determine estimated timescales for non-standard product and features Determine selling price for non-standard products and product features based on material costing as well as manufacturing and engineering requirements. Update and control a database of non-standard products quoted and manufactured Follow up on non-standard units and features which are manufactured to correct issues to prevent these issues being repeated on future orders. Attend meetings supporting sales engineers, if required, in discussing large projects for non-standard equipment with the customer. Point of contact with manufacturing for issues with non-standard units. Provide instructions to aid manufacturing of non-standard product/ options. Generation of technical specifications for non-standard equipment. Required Education & Qualifications

The successful candidate should have the following skills:

 

Degree in an engineering discipline (or an equivalent level of qualification/learning) Strong knowledge of Airedale products design, operation and system application Experience in the use of CAD (Solid Edge and AutoCAD) Ability to work well within a team Proactive attitude towards working with the Manufacturing team during design and build
