The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications systems, a deep understanding of rail transit environments, and the ability to manage engineering deliverables in a dynamic project setting. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **:** + Lead and support engineering activities related to communications systems on rail transit projects. + Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective integration of communications systems into overall project plans. + Review design drawings, specifications, and technical submittals for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards. + Provide technical expertise in the selection, implementation, and integration of systems such as: + SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) + Gas Detection Systems + TPIS (Train Passenger Information Systems) + Fire Alarm & Life Safety Systems + Public Address / Visual Messaging Systems (PA/VMS) + CCTV / Video Surveillance + Intrusion Detection and Access Control + Support construction oversight, testing and commissioning, and closeout processes. + Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that communications systems meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements. + Assist in schedule development, tracking milestones, and coordinating with cross-functional engineering disciplines. + Provide field support during installation and integration of systems. **REQUIREMENTS:** + Bachelor’s degree in **Engineering** or **Construction Management** (required). + Minimum of **5 years of experience** in **rail transit** projects, with hands-on involvement in the design, construction, or commissioning of passenger stations, rail yards, or transit infrastructure. + Strong technical knowledge of transportation systems including SCADA, TPIS, PA/VMS, CCTV, fire systems, and other station communications. + Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and working in complex infrastructure environments. + Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices (NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, etc.). + Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. + PE license or working toward licensure (a plus). + Experience with transit agencies, design-build projects, or public sector clients. + Working knowledge of CAD, Revit, or other engineering software (a plus). + Prior field experience with testing, integration, and commissioning of communications systems. + Travel to project sites may be required. + Must be authorized to work in USA + Must have a valid driver’s license **_Expected salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 depending on experience._** **_Fisk Electric builds extraordinary projects and we need exceptional talent.
