We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and help us to integrate automatic train protection systems (ATP-systems) into locomotives and cab cars. The ideal candidate will have a very good understanding in delivering complex control components in an overall system locomotive. Among other things, you are responsible as part of a team for ensuring that the vehicles meet the required safety standards and arrive reliably at their destination station.
What do you contribute?
Responsible within a team for execution and documentation of engineering steps within the EN50128 V-Model. Clarification of requirements, and production of specifications. Modification of high level HW drawings. Creation of software with a graphical configuration tool (PLC programming) and conducting code reviews. Specification and execution of checks/tests according to the check/test instructions in the laboratory and on the vehicle. Documentation of listed engineering steps for use as engineering evidence. Participation in the continuous improvement of engineering methods (Improvement initiatives). Analysis of in service system data for customer feedback and system improvement.What do you bring along?
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science. Professional experience in testing PLC controls and electrical circuits. Familiar with corresponding requirements and verification engineering, ideally in the railway industry. Knowledge in testing, operation and/or maintenance of automatic train protection systems is a plus. Willing to undertake occasional business trips at home and abroad (approx. 20% depending on the respective project phase). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. You also communicate fluently in German and well in English.What do we offer you?
