Project Engineer IPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is hiring a Project Engineer to develop and execute capital and expense projects, and to provide technical and troubleshooting support at our Thomson, GA manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to manufacturing department managers and supervisors.
Update plant drawings in AutoCad as needed.
Provide design for tools, equipment, plant modifications and upgrades.
Generate MOC (management of Change) documents from project work.
Generate and manage capital and expense projects for the facility.
Work with contractors, and corporate engineering on all phases of project work.
Serve as plant wide resource on issues involving mechanical engineering.
Evaluate new and updated equipment being proposed for safety and maintainability.
Lead teams as needed for energy, maintenance reliability, quality and safety.
Provide technical assistance to maintenance supervisors (electrical and mechanical) as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED, 4 year engineering degree preferred
Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
