Project Engineer I

General Description\n

Works closely with engineers and program\/project managers to support the design and development of avionics integrations into airborne structures. Plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating engineering tasks, to include the development of electrical schematics, harness fabrication drawings, engineering work instructions, systems engineering documents, and test procedures. Assists program managers and project coordinators with coordinating meetings and deliverables.\n

Duties\n\nManage and coordinate engineering efforts across multiple projects, ensuring seamless integration of aviation systems and components.\nMaintain project scope and budget in accordance with the statement of work (SOW) and customer requirements.\nIdentify, assess, and manage project risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.\nProvide accurate and timely estimates to completion for ongoing projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines.\nPrioritize project tasking based on urgency, importance, and resource availability.\nActively participate in technical meetings and reviews, offering valuable insights and expertise to enhance project outcomes.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents.\nEstablish and maintain effective communication channels with customers, program managers, and stakeholders to address concerns and provide regular project updates.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

Education\/Experience Requirements\n\nAssociate's degree. (4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree)\nA minimum of 2 years of experience in aviation integration projects, preferably with exposure to government contracts.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is a significant plus.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address project challenges effectively.\nExcellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.\nFlexibility and adaptability to evolving project requirements and priorities.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
