About the role The PE is responsible for success of New Product Development Projects throughout the full project life cycle. This is achieved by managing the project time, schedule and scope by directing the activities of the project team. The PE is responsible for the successful completion of the project’s product development and launch goals. The PE’s primary efforts are to provide daily support of the development teams by understanding the critical path and providing leadership to the team members’ in efforts in design, manufacturing, marketing, and finance. The PE is the main communicator between Southco and the customer. What you will be doing + Act as project manager of the Product Development effort + Adherence to Project Management Best Practices, all tasks are completed and documented on the project website. + Project Planning: Technical requirements and resource requirements + Business Development: tracks project costs and completes financial justifications. + Remove roadblocks for project team and escalate when required + Run efficient meetings internally and externally with clear meeting minutes and next steps defined About you + Bachelor in industrial engineering, mechatronics, mechanical or equivalent degree. + 4 years’ minimum experience performing as Project Engineer or Project Manager (PMP Preferred) + 2-years at least at automotive industry experience + Fully Bilingual English-Spanish + Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely + Knowledge ISO / TS16949 + Communication and negotiation skills + Must be analytical and self-motivated + Costumer Focus + Detail oriented
