Project Engineer II
A joint venture between Jacobs and H. J. Russell & Company - was selected to support the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) as they embark on their expansion program. This position will be hired through the Joint Venture Program, JRMT (Jacobs Russell MARTA Team). Summary of position: As a Project Engineer, you will perform contract management of assigned construction contracts and coordinate administration of those contracts within the Authority. In this role, you will act as a liaison between the resident engineers and the Authority's staff/General Engineering Consultant’s staff. Key Responsibilities: - Oversees and coordinates construction, engineering, and contract administration activities with Project Managers, the Authority's General Engineering Consultant, Resident Engineers, Contract Administrators, and other MARTA staff. - Review, comment, and suggest changes to proposed construction contract documents and plans before advertising and bidding. - Manages field activities related to pay applications and works with the Contract Administrator to finalize and prepare the pay applications. - Regularly updates information in Project Manager (P6)/other databases and performs field inspections on an as-needed basis Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or a related field. Ideally, you'll also have Minimum of five (5) years of field experience and construction management/administration on construction projects. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
