We are currently looking to hire a Project Engineer based in our Minster, Ohio fresh yogurt manufacturing location. In this role, you will be responsible for capital project management for projects in the facility, include processing, packaging and utilities areas of the facility. You will lead small, medium, and large-scale projects that will deliver business needs using sound project management, knowledge, and tools.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Main point of contact for assigned Capital Projects for the plantCoordinate any existing Processing, Packaging, Building and Utilities projects between contractors and manufacturing facilityBuild scope of work and preliminary budgets for potential projectsResponsible for managing CAPEX budget for assigned projectsCreate, design and evaluate call for tender documentsServe as technical alignment leader during bidding processes

All qualifications below are required, except where noted as preferred.
You have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering, science or mathematics discipline and have a minimum three (3) to five (5) years project engineering experience within a manufacturing environment required. Prior experience within a CPG beverage/food manufacturing is preferred. You have experience managing capital projects, CAPEX forecasting and payback calculations.You have experience with development of Call for Tender documents including, Technical Specifications, Commercial Specifications and Standards.You have strong computer skills and are proficient in the use of Project Management, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and MS Office programs.You are exceptionally organized and self-disciplined to accommodate the management of concurrent multiple projectsYou are highly self-directed and able to work independently as well as part of a team.You understand the essential value of engaging and actively communicating appropriate information to all levels involved with and/or affected by the project.You have excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.You have knowledge on the following:Reading, modifying, process flow and process instrumentation drawingsDesign, Calculation, Implementation and Start Up of CIP (Clean in Place) Systems.The design, calculation and evaluation of Ultra Clean Tanks ManufacturingForm-Fill-Seal and Preformed packaging equipment from filling to palletizingUtility/facilities/building and grounds management including Ammonia refrigeration systemsMilk chemistry, milk processing and PMOProcess Instrumentation for Receiving, Storage, Standardization, Homogenization, Pasteurization, Fermentation; and Fermented Products Culture dosingYou have the ability to support a 24/7 production environment. Work schedules could include day or night schedules and potentially weekends or holidays as business needs dictate.
