We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our MQ-9 Engineering team located in Poway, CA. Under general supervision with limited review, this position is responsible for determining and developing effective approaches for resolving a wide range of difficult engineering problems. Assignments are normally outlined in terms of overall objectives and anticipated results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Lead Project Engineer to fulfill the technical obligations of the MQ-9A/B Sustainment Program requirements.Support operation of engineering systems by evaluating and interpreting needs and problems and develops effective approaches to resolving those issues.Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.Provide documentation and produce technical presentations as required.Direct the activities of designers, technicians and may direct the activities of less experienced professional staff.May represent the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.Must be able to perform problem analysis & disposition and in-house technical and logistical support.Work with Engineering Supervisor to conduct Engineering Studies relating to the MQ-9A platform.This role will play a crucial role in ensuring the long-term operational readiness and reliability of our fleet.This position involves overseeing the maintenance, modification, and repair of aircraft, as well as developing and implementing sustainment strategies to enhance performance and extend the lifecycle of our assets.
