We have an exciting opportunity located in Poway, CA for an experienced Project Engineer to support our MQ9 Technology Development Project Engineering team.
Under general directions with limited review, this position is responsible for applying innovative approaches to resolving unusual or complex engineering problems.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and interface with customers, contractors, and engineering groups to determine scope, urgency, actions, impacts, and resolution to on-going projects and field issues.Support investigations along with functional engineering Subject Matter Experts (SME) to maintain operation of systems.Lead troubleshooting efforts with on-site personnel to resolve technical issues in the field. Perform system analysis, generate requirements, and develop system designs.Provide technical support for integration, verification, and validation of new and existing systems, both in the integration lab and in the field.Develop and present technical design material for review with customers.Represent the organization as the prime technical contact on small contracts or single component projects.Provide direction and requirements to design or technical staff while collaborating with program management and other functional areas.Develop project plans, estimates, and schedules for upcoming engineering efforts.Will require travel to field sites to provide on-site engineering expertise.
