Responsibilities

Your mission:

Oversee construction projects to ensure they are completed according to the contract. This includes observing construction, reviewing and signing documents, and communicating with MSA staff, contractors, and clients.Communicates professionally with clients, contractors and builds ongoing business relationshipsPerform engineering calculations for the analysis, study, and design of specific project aspects.Utilize electronic tools such as GIS, models, BIM, and CADD for project analysis, study, and design.Assist in creating cost estimates for projects.Instruct technicians on drafting for the projects you design.Conduct field investigations or inspections ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements using specialized equipment.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

Education

Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering 

Experience

Four years of relevant, post-graduate mechanical engineering experience 

Required knowledge and skills

Knowledge of the philosophies, principals, practices, and techniques of engineeringProficiency with digital tools, which may include Microsoft Office, GIS, BIM, and/or CADDAdvanced interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with colleaguesCreative problem-solving skills to solve new and challenging problemsAbility to mentor less experienced staffThe selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to provide or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.

License

Professional Engineering License in IA with WI, IL, and MN preferred

The salary for this position ranges from $79,000 to $126,500 per year commensurate with experience.  Higher compensation within this range will be paid to canidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
