Position: Project Engineer   

Location: Akron, OH

 

We are looking for a talented engineer who is looking for the opportunity to work on exciting projects in our Akron design center.  In this role you will be a part of a growing team and contribute to transportation designs and mentoring of less seasoned staff members as we add to this team.  Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong technical background.  Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for client interaction and career advancement. 

Responsibilities Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design for transportation projectsGeometric, maintenance of traffic, drainage, and signing/pavement marking design as necessaryDevelopment and mentoring of junior staffInteraction with clients on technical related issuesDevelopment and Quality Control of construction plans, quantities, and specificationsDevelopment of 3D roadway modelsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio (or ability to obtain within 6-12 months)Minimum of 4 years of experience as a roadway engineerAbility to work well and self-motivate in a collaborative team environmentStrong team player with effective internal & external communication skills
