Job Summary: 

The Project Engineer is responsibilities for both capital projects and continuous improvement projects of the plant. Will direct all aspects of special & capital projects, identify opportunities to increase productivity& cost reduction; interact with contractors, vendors & suppliers.  Require 4 yr Degree in Engineering (ME or EE preferred) and 2+ yrs. successful project management experience.  Ideal candidate will also have 2-3+ years of experience in manufacturing plant. Excellent planning and organizational skills with a high degree of initiative & flexibility is a must.  The position requires good problem solving, analytical skills and interpersonal skills.  Proven ability to define performance measures & hold others accountable for the same.  Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MSDS & GMPs.  Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Auto-Cad & Access. The Project Engineer will report to the Operations Manager and is an excellent position for growth. This position can have 1-2 engineering interns and 1 salaried engineer as direct report.

All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check. Must be able to work swing shift and graveyard. Overtime will be required, as necessary, including weekends. Graphic Packaging International operates on a 24 hour, 7 day/week basis.

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
o    BS degree in Engineering, related field 
o    2-3 years of experience in manufacturing plant.
o    Working knowledge and experience of LEAN tools and A3s. 
o    Demonstrated ability to create and sustain change.
o    Demonstrated ability to engage a work force.
o    Strong interpersonal skills
o    Proactive problem solver

•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
•    Ability to provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel.

Pay Range:   [[93,000]] - [[123,000]]
