A Project Engineer will help schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all activities to assure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. This position will work closely with the project management team and other project stakeholders to develop, document, and implement cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project(s). Our employee benefits packages include: Competitive pay $63K - $82 Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription coverage Paid vacation and holidays 401(K) match Life insurance, AD&D and long-term disability Tuition reimbursement Opportunities available nationwide Employee discounts on vehicles, hotels, theme parks, select cell phone bills and so much more Pet Insurance Legal Plan, and ID Theft Protection Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Review drawings and specifications in preparation of subcontractor scope • Work with project managers to ensure good decisions for the company and project(s) during the buyout process • Maintain and update Submittal, Subcontractor Change Order, Owner Change Order, and RFI logs. • Identify lead times for material and equipment procurement, and track fabrication schedules. • Perform punch list walk thru with project managers and superintendents. • Actively assist superintendents with enforcement of site safety. • Analyze and recommend materials, equipment, and practices used on projects. • Monitor the progress of the project and maintain project schedules. • Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies. • Perform QA/QC for shop and field fabrication. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership and urgency • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Open to Continuing Education Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu • General understanding of the construction process and construction site experience • Knowledge of Plumbing/Pipefitting or Sheet Metal trades PHYSICAL AND MENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS • Long periods of sitting and periodically climbing stairs. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. • Periodic travel to multiple job locations • May be subjected to inclement weather and hazardous working conditions Join Us Today, there are 26 different companies that make up the CoolSys family of brands.
