As Project Engineering Manager (Physical Design) you will participate in the management of Digital IP projects, including preparation of project planning, coordination of cross-functional teams, participation in reviews, ensuring adoption of Synopsys’ design methodologies and quality processes, and driving execution towards project completion.

You will work on a variety of management and documentation tasks and may also be involved in design and/or verification tasks, incorporating any of specification generation, RTL coding, testbench and testcase generation, and STA.

Manages the development and implementation process of internal engineering physical design validation of multiple IP cores including PCIe, DDR and UCIe. An expert leading expert in the field of physical design validation of soft IP cores. Will involve cross-functional design teams focused on the development and verification of an engineering product for external or internal customers. 

Responsibilities:Prepare Project Plan, identifying the requirements, main tasks and milestonesOrganize project kick-off, weekly meetings that involve multiple teams, prepare meeting minutes and track action itemsCoordinate with cross-functional teams (PHY, VIP, Tech Pubs, AE, HW prototype, etc), aligning internal milestones, and tracking dependenciesParticipate in design/verification/hw validation reviews, such as COS, Databook, and Test Report reviewsEnsure that quality procedures are followed, and quality checks are completedManage the project flow and collateral in JamaTrack project execution, prepare weekly exec-level report and identifying risksOrganize post-completion meeting to assess project execution and identify opportunities for improvementCoordinate with Quality team for reviews, audits, and latest flowsFirst-level analysis of AE consultation tickets for R&DLeads and directs engineering teams in strategic and tactical aspects. Identifies needed resources to achieve timely deliverablesPlans and directs schedulesIdentifies and escalates issuesDrives problem resolution through fact-based, conscious decision makingManages risk and change from conception to delivery. Defines, promotes, implements and improves team and cross-functional engineering processes and practicesKey Qualifications & Experience:Requires a relevant Engineering Degree/MastersTypically requires 10+ years relevant experience (5+ years related to Physical Design)Typically requires 5+ years of experience in a project management role (customer facing experience desirable)Familiarity with Project Management and Planning tasksFamiliarity with UNIX operating systems, Jira, MS Project and MS ExcelGood written and verbal communication skillsSolid organizational skillsPMP preferred
