Kent is looking for an experienced Project Engineering Manager that will manage and lead a team of multi-discipline Engineers to coordinate production of engineering deliverables in accordance with the project plan and set budget.
The Project Engineering Manager typically leads FEED offshore projects with an estimated valuation up to £6million and executed within a 6 to 8 month timeframe. Following a project from the proposal preparation stage; handover/project start-up and to the final project completion at the design stage is a critical element for this position.
We are seeking a high calibre for this key Project Engineer Manager role that have talent, enthusiasm and drive to influence and be part of our exciting expansion plan.
Responsibilities:
Manages the External (e.g., Client facing stakeholders) and the Internal (e.g. Lead disciplines, Engineering centres) on a project. This also includes project controls, procurement, and third-party contractors or suppliers.Experienced and capable of performing Project management and engineering coordination duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.Experienced and capable to set-up a project at FEED stage following Kent management systems.Experienced with Familiar with Change management processes, if required on a project.Has a strong appreciation of multi-discipline engineering design activities. Manages all disciplines to achieve design consistency and quality expectations..Provides all necessary input and support to project progress and weekly/monthly reporting.Manages the interfaces and workshare with Kent’s other international offices.Where necessary, the Project Engineering Manager works alongside the Project Manager for major large capital projects at Pre-FEED/ FEED/Detailed Engineering projects.Corporate reporting line is to respective Departmental/Group Manager for Project Engineering.Typically works on a Pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design or EPC project in offshore oil and gas, Carbon capture & storage industry.Experience in bid preparation will play an integral part of this position.; Successful candidate is capable of writing and supporting proposal development, bid approval and preparing project execution plans is key.Reviews the ITB (Invitation to Bid) documents submitted in the proposals stage, prepares/reviews man Engineering personnel hours estimate for delivering the project scope.Ensures compatibility and conformance with client specifications and recommends cost effective improvements to equipment selection/specifications within the scope of client specifications and requirements.Participates in and may lead multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and provides all necessary input and approval to close out of actions.Provides assistance as and when required in the strategic procurement planning including for long lead items enquiry.Specific areas of knowledge and experience are:
Offshore safety for Topsides design for minimal normally unattended facilities through to Fully processing platforms with Personnel Living Quarters. Carbon Capture and storage projects.Transportation and Installation requirements for jacket and topsides considering the various factors such as water depth limitations, load-out and types of vessels required.Different offshore types such as fixed or floating platform, vessels etc.Strong past experience of offshore platform design during Pre-FEED, FEED / detailed design.Your knowledge and experience:
Master's degree in engineering.Chartered Status preferred. Significant related project engineering management experience working for Engineering/Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry and / or Low Carbon Energy Transition industryPre-FEED, FEED, detailed design or EPC project in offshore oil and gas industryExperience working with international offices such as India and managing workshareManaged up to 100+ persons during the Engineering design stageManaged projects upto a Total Installed Cost of 500 million USDCost, eEstimating and planning execution experience and knowledge.Broad knowledge of engineering discipline activities specific areas are safety and T&I.Knowledge of international equipment specifications and codes.Knowledge of standard international specifications and codes.Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental requirements and Quality procedures.Ability to plan execution interfaces and takes corrective action with regards to engineering design.Global work experience.Excellent management, including delegation and leadership skills.Excellent communication, writing, oral and presentation skills.Ability to meet schedules milestones and deadlines.Analytical and problem-solving mind set.Proactive approach.High attention to detail.
