As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. About the Role
The Project Engineering department at L3HARRIS WESCAM is looking for a co-op student to support various teams in the development of new WESCAM products. You will work with your team to create documentation, analyses and presentations. The team offers a supportive learning environment where you will be provided with as much challenge as you are willing to undertake.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide support to the NPI Project Lead during the transition of WESCAM new products into full production Assist in the generation of and review all project/product documentation such as specifications, work statements, presentation & review material, reliability & quality reports design documentation, technical publications and verification plans/reports Assist in investigating, designing and implementing next generation systems including optical, electronic and mechanical components Attend and lead project meetingsComplete project-specific tasksCreating presentations for planning projects, forecasting sales, risk mitigationSupport engineering quality and configuration management through documentation updates and process reviewsOrganize teams and delegate tasks where requiredRequired Capabilities
Experience with electro-mechanical systems, optic or laser devices is an asset Familiarity with Solidworks or other similar design tools Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications Strong problem solving and interpersonal skillsAction-oriented and quick-respondingGood agility and decision making skills to prioritize and handle a variety of assigned tasks Excellent verbal, written communication and organization skillsDesired Education and Experiences
