Job Title: Lead Project Estimator Job Description The Lead Project Estimator will be a key member of the inventive and vibrant Estimating Team and will support the design, planning, and budgeting of projects. The ideal candidate has experience in the renewable and/or high voltage transmission industry, a highly developed understanding of construction means and methods, a deep understanding of wind, solar, substation, and transmission construction requirements, robust project management skills, and strong leadership qualities. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in project development, planning, and execution to develop project estimates and improve estimating tools. This is a leadership role within the team. Responsibilities + Prepare capital cost estimates + Review designs and specifications for cost-effectiveness and suggest alternatives, when appropriate + Coordinate with other departments, ensuring understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources + Remain current with technology and industry evolution, assuring that capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions + Establish, build, and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks + Mentor and develop junior members of the team + Perform other job-related duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical), Construction Science, or Construction Management + 7+ years of experience + Strong skills with MS Exel + Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in renewables or transmission projects + Skills in estimation, construction, project management, construction management, and transmission line Work Environment This position is based on-site in the corporate office located in Juno Beach. The role involves working in a collaborative office setting with cross-functional teams. Per diem is offered for two months. Note that there is no relocation bonus provided. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
