This job will be filled as an Exempt level 5 or 6, depending on the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
Note: Due to the travel requirements for this role, the position can be located anywhere in the state of Georgia.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for auditing, identifying, and assisting in the development of sales opportunities related to building systems, such as lighting, HVAC, controls, etc. Provide advanced energy audits for k-12 school, commercial, university, local/state/federal government, and industrial customers. The role involves working with Georgia Power account managers and Power Services project managers to sell energy services type products to the customers in these markets.
Job Requirements
Four-year Engineering or Technical degree, or equivalent work experience preferred PE, CEM, or CEA strongly preferred Experience in energy audits, and selling technical products and services is preferred Ability to identify energy infrastructure opportunities at customer facilities for referral to our GPC Utility Services group Clear understanding of one or more of the following is desired: building systems (electrical-mechanical systems including lighting, HVAC, building envelope, etc.) and/or industrial processes Ability to screen promising opportunities while auditing customer facilities Project management experience preferred
Job Responsibilities
Perform energy audits, compile reports, and present findings to customers Recognize and solve energy related problems Work with the Georgia Power field sales force to identify sales opportunities through on-site energy audits After prequalifying energy related projects, work with Power Services to engage vendors for price quotes, develop proposals, and help close the sale Engage and maintain relationships with Georgia Power approved vendors, and engage them as needed on projects When applicable, work with customers to arrange third party financing, including helping with financially qualifying the customer Understand and work within the applicable regulations and code requirements
