Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Procurement Team, of the Oil & Gas and Chemical Sector based in Houston, Texas office. The position requires extensive experience and knowledge in expediting major equipment and material for EPC projects. Expediting of supplier data, assisting engineering to ensure timely submittal and return of documents to maintain schedule. Setting up and conducting meetings with project team and suppliers. Maintaining detailed files and records for each purchase order. The updating and maintaining of the expediting status report using the Procurement Systems to monitor and track the status of data and drawings. Assisting construction on Overages, shortages, damaged, and quarantined equipment. Assisting accounts payable confirming milestones have been met for payment.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Communicate with Suppliers to detect and troubleshoot issues with delivery as per purchase order or contract. Conduct telephone, electronic and/or in person expediting as directed by the Project Team to maintain or improve Project Schedule Support the Procurement and Contracts / Subcontracts Manager with daily administrative tasks. Assist the buying team with purchase order administration. Utilize the system management tools and enterprise management systems for performing duties. Responsible for performing the daily expediting of open orders and monitoring the expediter communication protocols. Work with the Buyers and Project Team to resolve purchase order issues Point of contact for purchase requisition status and address questions or issues that arise. Organize purchase requisition and order documentation as needed. Track and document supplier data, purchase orders and raw material delivery. Coordinate with Project personnel on a frequent basis related to procurement activity and schedules Assist with special projects as assigned including the awarding of micro purchase orders and credit card orders Participate in Small Business outreach efforts as required. Actively communicate with internal requesters and buyers regarding past due orders and other schedule issues. Monitor, coordinate, and perform file maintenance and organization, including record archiving and data organization Perform resolution of Receiving Variance Notices (RVNs) and coordinate effort with the other Expeditors, Receiving department and Buyers. Produce activity metrics, credit card reconciliation and vendor ID processing Participate in the development and administration of blanket and basic ordering agreements Perform unfilled order status and communicate with internal Requesters. Generate ad hoc status reports as needed for project status Provide daily, weekly, monthly status reports as required. Organize the delivery of materials and or services to meet or maintain project schedule Assist Accounts Payable to confirm milestones have been met for payment Coordinate with the Project Team to release orders for shipment. Perform other duties as required.
What your experience looks like
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Strong communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong oral and written communication skills, with a history of effectively interacting with internal and external customers. Strong organizational skills, professionalism, and attention to detail. Administrative experience in a business-related field, such as procurement or accounting.
