Project Finance Manager

DAI is seeking a Project Finance Manager to join our busy Project Finance Team for the UK business unit. This will be a full-time, permanent role based in Belgrade, Serbia. Project Finance Manager’s primary responsibility is to successfully manage the UK Project Finance team – which consists of Senior Project Finance Specialists and Project Finance Specialists (based over two sites in Belgrade, Serbia and Apsley, United Kingdom), as well as to ensure that financial reporting across the UK BU is accurately reported and on time. The Project Finance Manager should be expected to review and enhance existing monthly processes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Management of team across two locations (UK and Serbia) – ensure UK BU team delivers its client contractual reports on time (IATI, SME, monthly & quarterly reports) as well as internal deliverables. Manage team to ensure success billing, financial accounting and internal reports are delivered on time (internal reports include profit statements, quarterly financial reports, forecasts, etc). Manage variance analysis with the project finance team related to gross profit, billing, cashflow, revenue recognition. Responsible for efficiently running the month end interfaces to allow system close for month end. Responsible for ensuring the Project Finance team record results on time for month end. Provide commentary on project performances when reviews take place. Plan and manage teams internal audit schedule. Plan and manage project allocation across the team. Lead team to successfully deliver annual corporate audit. Provide guidance on financial matters related to UK portfolio when required. Provide guidance and training on Oracle when required. Lead system improvement process for Oracle with MIS team. Working closely with stakeholders across the business ensuring Project Finance team meet required deliverables on time and as per contracts. Travel between UK and Serbia required.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience:

Essential:

5+ years' experience working in a corporate environment, with experience in a managerial position. Excellent verbal and written skills in Serbian and English. Understanding of international development. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Excellent professional presence, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with the wider DAI team. Strong stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

Ideally experienced using Oracle.
