About The Role
Due to an internal promotion, Ventia are seeking an experienced Project Finance Manager within our Transport team to drive business performance and optimise the financial systems and processes that support the Eastlink contract in Melbourne.
The successful incumbent will hold overall accountability for financial month end functions, financial reporting and analysis and finance & contract administration activities.
The role is based out of the Depot in Ringwood offering flexible working conditions with free onsite parking for the days in the office.
What you’ll be doing:
Taking accountability for the core finance activities on the contract such as financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, forecasting and budgeting, and financial accounting. Development of performance improvement plans (PIP’s) and R&O for the project and related tracking/reporting. Establishment of initial revenue recognition and implementation of relevant processes and procedures to govern the contract successfully. Prepare the budgeting and quarterly forecasting. Optimise and maintain the financial systems to suit business needs and ensure billing and reporting requirements are met. Supervise and manage wages payroll processes including Cost and Sell rates calculations and maintenance. Prepare billing of TOC, Projects and any external customers Maintain and build a strong high performing team, aligned to our purpose and enterprise strategic objectives. First point of contact for client with regards to finance related matters. Complete annual Client Budgeting / Forecasting in accordance with ALT approval timeframe.
About You
You will have a degree in Accounting / Commerce or similar accompanied with extensive experience working as a Finance Manager with diverse and large contracts.
