Your role and responsibilitiesThe Project Financial Analyst will assist the Project Managers with their projects’ financials during the execution phase. The PFA (Project Financial Analyst) has to maintain accurate planned costs in SAP, update them if needed after the project review and inform the PM about any important observed deviation. The PFA will also contribute to the forecast that is needed by the Local Division Controller by maintaining the correct revenue dates in SAP and by trying to reflect the most accurate backlog gross margins after gathering that information from the Project Managers. Other tasks include revenue recognition, sales/billing in excess, GR/IR, provisions and accruals.•\tPrepare project invoices and financial accounting and reporting documents, including project site accounting.•\tDrive revenues and project cash flow in assigned projects, seeking optimization.•\tEnsure the accuracy of project balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and monthly/quarterly forecasts.•\tOversee currency risk in project cash flow and implement/suggest appropriate mitigation measures.•\tSupport the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing project reviews, cost reports, claim management, back-charges, and insurance cases.•\tAssist the project team in identifying risks and opportunities, ensuring adherence to ABB’s corporate governance, assurance, internal controls, and business-specific finance directives and instructions.•\tSupport the project team and Tender Manager in all financial and commercial aspects of the tender process.
Qualifications for the roleEnrolled in a relevant academic program (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration).Strong analytical and financial skills.Basic understanding of project management principles.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Demonstrated interest in financial analysis and operational excellence.
