Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Governance and Standards Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Project Management Office team for a critical Cybersecurity program.
In this role you will be responsible for driving the implementation and oversight of PMO Governance frameworks, ensuring alignment to organisational policies and standards.
You will work closely with the Portfolio Office Lead, Project Managers and Key stakeholders to establish best practices, enhance project controls and improve overall governance maturity.
This role is critical in maintaining consistency , transparency and accountability across the portfolio of projects and workstreams.
About the Cybersecurity GRC Team
The Governance Risk & Compliance team is an exciting and growing area of cybersecurity which ensures that State Street maintains a strong cybersecurity posture by aligning with regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal risk management frameworks.

What you will be responsible for
PMO Governance & Compliance
Define, implement and continuously improve PMO governance frameworks and standardsEnsure alignment with the organisational best practicesDevelop and maintain governance artifacts, including charters, RACI matrices, decision making frameworks and escalation paths.Monitor adherence to project governance standards and escalate non-compliance as neededProvide governance oversightStandards & Best Practice
Maintain project and program management methodologies ensuring consistency across the portfolioDrive the adoption of standardized templates tools and reporting structures for project execution and governanceEnsure practices align with Project Management Standards and the Enterprise Strategic Change FrameworkStakeholder Engagement & Advisory
Act as a trusted advisor to project managers and leadership on governance and compliance mattersProvide training, coaching and guidance on governance processes, tools and best practices.Facilitate governance forums, steering committees and assurance reviews to ensure effective oversightReporting
Develop and maintain reporting dashboards scorecards and compliance reports for leadership.Ensure accurate, timely and transparent reporting on project status, risks and governance complianceDefine and track key performance indicators to assess governance effectiveness and drive improvements.What we value

5+ years of experience in PMO governance, project portfolio management within a large scale project environmentStrong knowledge of PMO frameworks, governance structures and compliance requirementsStrong analytical and problem solving skills to assess governance effectiveness and recommend improvementsProficiency in project governance tools and technologies such as Clarity, Jira, ServiceNow or equivalent.Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI or similar) to support governance reportingExperience facilitating governance forumsExperience working in regulated industries such as financial services.About State Street

Salary Range:
$140,000 - $222,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
