Project Highway Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Project Highway Engineer with responsibilities consistent but not limited to:

Mentoring junior staff

Developing highway profiles, cross sections and typical sections Performing pavement design calculations

Required Attributes

Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum years of work experience: 6-12 years Licenses: NJ Professional Engineer Computer skills required: Microsoft; experience with Microstation is preferred Ability to work independently and within a group setting Desire to learn new skills related to roadway design and traffic engineering

Preferred Attributes

Proficiency in Microstation, InRoads/OpenRoads software Familiarity with Traffic Signing and Stripping Plans, Traffic Control Plans, Drainage Plans and Grading Plans Experience with NJDOT highway projects, plan presentation and NJDOT Capital Delivery Process Some experience with AutoCAD Experience with stormwater management and hydraulics
