We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Project HSE Coordinator to support Advanced Manufacturing (AM) project portfolio.
As part of our team, in this initial remit you will provide HSE support and leadership to and EPCM project at a client facility in Spartanburg, SC. You’ll serve as a business partner working with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager to lead HSE excellence and deliver a project ensures no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity. We’ll ask you to support BeyondZero performance that is inclusive of the Line of Business’ (LOB) vision and strategic plans as well as provide overall leadership, management and direction to the team and client assigned.
We’ll rely on you to take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm and for driving strategies and performance while supporting continuous improvement. You’ll own and maintain open communication with the HSE Director and HSE Manager as well as peer HSE team members to provide technical resources guidance, to ensure alignment and to assure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support project HSE strategic plans and objectives.
By establishing working relationships, you’ll provide visible support and leadership to all client and stakeholders by providing interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program.
You’ll be charged to lead/support incident notification, investigation and reporting process, as well as facilitating injury management and return to work process. You’ll develop review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables and participate as required in operational readiness reviews or other forums relevant to project success.
This project is under Owner Controlled Insurance Policy (OCIP), personnel for this position will oversee handling and onboarding of Subcontractors through Jacobs and OCIP policies. You will ensure the project is meeting all OCIP requirements for the project. This may entail working with OCIP representatives and relaying any issue to HSM and CM lead.
The only travel anticipated with this role is to and from the project site. Future project assignments may require additional travel within the US, and potentially North America.
Our Project HSE Coordinator must have the ability to cater successfully to multiple task masters - support of HSE staff in the field, leadership and vision for Project and Construction Managers and other field staff, a supportive but directive environment to ensure subcontractor success, a leadership style that role models and demonstrates a culture of inclusion and caring for our craft workforce stakeholders, and finally the development of a rapport, partnership, and a communication style which engenders confidence and trust with our client.
This requires flexibility, excellent communication skills across a wide cross section of stakeholders, empathy, commitment, and dedication to the delivery of a project approach which ensures workers go home safely every day. While administrative duties associated with a role such as this are many, to role model what’s expected and the delivery of Jacobs BeyondZero culture, the real heavy lifting of this work is in the field where the work takes place and developing relationships with the team members delivering it.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer all OCIP-related documentation and reporting for the project
* Onboard and coordinate subcontractors in compliance with OCIP guidelines
* Serve as liaison between OCIP representatives and project stakeholders
* Collaborate with HSE leadership to ensure alignment with site safety strategies
* Monitor incident reporting and support claims management and investigations
* Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance logs
* Participate in field walkdowns and safety meetings to ensure active site engagement
* Deliver training sessions and assist in regulatory compliance planning
* Associate degree or higher in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or related field
* Minimum 6 years of construction HSE experience, with at least 3 years in OCIP administration
* Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
* Proven experience managing subcontractor compliance and onboarding
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ideally you'll have:
* CHST, CSP, or other safety-related certification
* OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety
