Title: Project Improvement Engineer
Location: Lemont, IL 
Additional locations may include Augusta, GA; Henderson, NV; and Santa Fe Springs, CA

Salary: $103,000 - $150,000
Relocation Available

Focus: The Project Improvement Engineer is responsible for the development, installation, and completion of capital improvement projects including cost, schedule, and performance objectives. This role will manage capital projects up to $10MM and replace equipment in existing Bleach plant facilities as well as new or expanded sites.

Project Improvement Engineer Essential Job Functions:

Support Plant Operational and Maintenance goals, including Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing initiatives.Provide process engineering support including development of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, loop drawings, control narratives, heat, mass, and energy balances. Includes project scope development and detailed design.Develop Capital Improvement Projects regarding justification, scope, schedule, and cost estimate to prepare documents to obtain funding approval.Manage construction of capital projects in the field and provide complete project turnover to plant site including process hazard analysis, operating procedures, management of change, pre-startup safety reviews, etc.Responsible for achieving project objectives for safety, environment, site security, project scope, quality of installed equipment, project cost, project schedule and communications.

Project Improvement Engineer Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering discipline preferred.5+ years project / manufacturing experience; chemical, petrochemical, or related manufacturing experience preferred.  Experience leading plant-level improvement processes preferred.Thorough understanding of and experience with manufacturing equipment, i.e. tanks, pumps, piping, heat exchangers, valving, instrumentation, HVAC, industrial refrigeration, applicable industrial standards, i.e. ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM; etc.Ability to travel as needed. (Approximately 50%)Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US driver's license.
