Project Lead
Our client in East Yorkshire is looking for a Project Lead to join the team on a long-term contract outside of IR35. The right person for this role will:  Lead project engineering activities on the EtAc Asset to ensure delivery of the site’s ongoing CAPEX programme and to support major site development projects. Lead on all site sustenance CAPEX projects, reporting progress against budget and timescale. Development of user specifications and selection of design options. Development of cost estimates and schedules. Selection of contractors for Feasibility. Procurement of equipment. Development of construction work packs and interface with permit signatories. Compilation of Management of change paperwork. Support major site developments working within the constraints of Site and wide procedures. Acting as the key site contact for main contractors. Participation in Design, Safety and Constructability reviews as required. Responsibility for allocated individual scope items as per individual CAPEX project requirements. Tracking project costs and progress. Interaction with equipment vendors to ensure delivery on time and on budget. Input into the development of CAPEX paperwork. Asset safety, reliability and overall production targets. Ensure CAPEX plans are developed and delivered safely to time and budget.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working with COMAH top tier chemical plant engineering standards and safety management systems, who has expertise in an engineering discipline.
A good working knowledge to national and international codes and standards pertaining to project engineering is key to performing in this role along with a good working knowledge of project planning and estimation techniques.
The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and 3rd parties to achieve company goals.
A proven record of being able to work successfully in a multi-discipline team environment is also essential as is a keen eye for detail and a drive to deliver results.
