Responsible for the operational design and estimating of projects in accordance with company construction standards, and in compliance with State and Federal codes, while ensuring the reliable, efficient and safe delivery of electric distribution service to customers. To assist with project management and scheduling duties to ensure that projects have timely completion. Professionally interact and collaborate with customers, line contractors, electricians, general contractors, and developers, to ensure that the company satisfactorily meets their needs and to ensure Company construction standards, policies and procedures are being adhered to. Principal Accountabilities Time % End Results 85% Project Planning and Coordination (Maintenance and Construction): Responsible for assisting in the coordination, planning, and scheduling of projects and routine work associated with the construction and minor upgrades of the electric distribution system. These projects and routine work include customer driven inquiries for service and follow up review of customer related requirements. These responsibilities include: + Field reviews and operational design of line work necessary to provide service to customers. + Prepare cost estimates + Prepare construction planners for projects including material requirements and applicable resource or permitting needs. + Provide field crews with technical assistance and guidance on an as needed basis. + Coordination and meet with Telecommunications Companies + Utilizes scheduling, tracking, and reporting mechanisms to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of customer driven work. + Ensures completion of as-built drawings and the accuracy of associated project documentation + Utilize work management systems and various technologies for the purpose of designing, estimating, and updating the status of projects. 15% Leadership and Training: Fosters a work environment of commitment and achievement, setting high performance standards, and providing the direction, training, and development needed to achieve these standards. Assist the Line Supervisor with safety and work practice training programs. As Needed Capitalizes on unplanned opportunities and responds to unforeseen situations; undertakes and completes assignments and special projects as assigned by management. Collaborates with other personnel within the Operations group and provides assistance and auxiliary support in their absence Qualifications + Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. + 3 years of related field experience. + Must accept supervisory standby on rotation basis. + Must reside within a specified geographic area and be available for duties during times of system emergencies.
