Who you will work with:
This position is based in BCN’s Gurgaon office and is an integral part of BCN’s Data & Insights Capabilities CoE (D&I - Capabilities CoE), that consists of 50+ members split across 3 teams. The individual will work as a part of Corporate Support Functions CoE that supports Global PI practice, experts, and case teams on multiple corporate support cost reduction/ optimization through a suite of solutions including functional benchmarking, functional maturity assessments, time studies, shared services opportunity assessment, etc.
CoE undertakes complex and advanced data analysis to process client data and generate critical insights to help identify areas of improvement. Over time, we have built seamless solutions and use powerful, dynamic visualizations/ charts on multiple platforms (PowerBI, Tableau) to showcase our results. Corporate Support Functions CoE is also involved in generation of critical IP useful for new performance improvement cases globally at Bain.
What you'll do
Project Leader leads a team of 3-4 team members of Analysts and Associates on problem solving, work-planning, analytics, research, and overall content to produce client ready materials and generate business insights and implications. You will also be required to work hands-on on projects and be in control of answers end-to-end. The position reports into a Manager/ Sr. Manager
Own end to end delivery of Corporate Support projects. This includes the following:Work with case teams to understand case requirements and leverage the most appropriate tools/ solutions for identifying problem areas Leverage client’s HRMS and GL data files to build detailed functional baseline and use it to conduct benchmarking analysis for identifying opportunity areas and size of prizeAnalyze responses received from qualitative surveys to identify current client state and emerging insights on opportunity areasShowcase domain expertise on Corporate Support functions and topicsProvide rapid benchmarking support as well as guidance on critical benchmarks to use to case teams looking for a high level assessment of corporate support functionsSupport buildout of Bain’s proprietary benchmark database, applying sound logic and business judgement to validate received data points ensuring quality data is ingestedContribute to internal development of Corporate Support practice by continuously evolving existing SKUs/ products as well as build new products for a more holistic assessment of clients corporate support areasReview and provide guidance to team members on ongoing cases; monitor and balance workloadsEnsure timely and high-quality output/ analysis produced by junior team members; conduct reality checks on answers before communicating to the clientEffectively communicate with BCN leadership/ case teams/ end clients and manage relationshipsProvide feedback towards constant improvement and recognize team’s development needsOver time, the individual will be expected to begin to develop and demonstrate expertise in their function(s), working with stakeholders within Bain case teams, Bain SMEs as well as Bain’s Corporate Support practice.
About you
Candidate should be a graduate/ post-graduate with strong academic records and relevant experience in consulting, research and analysis-related workGood domain knowledge on key corporate functional areas like Finance, HR, IT, Legal, shared services, etc.Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 5-8 years of relevant experience (>50% experience in consulting is preferred)Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies – 3-6 years of relevant experience (>50% experience in consulting is preferred)Excellent analytical skills, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), team management and project management skillsDemonstrated ability to work with MS Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of analytics & visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI would be a big plusAbility to deal with ambiguity, handle multiple tasks and dynamic case expectationsWhat makes us a great place to work
