Responsibilities:
The New Product DevelopmentLead supports project management for all new products for internal manufacturing. The responsibilities include the intake of new designs and soft prototypes and continue through tooling, hard prototype development and continue into the product launch. The Project Lead manages communication of critical project updates, issues, and developments to key stakeholders ranging from internal team members to key stakeholders in corporate. The Project Lead partners closely with Engineers, Manufacturing, and other project team members to develop best practice processes and carry the project cycle through completion in a timely manner with a focus on clear communication and accuracy in costing.
New Product Process
Support New Product Development integration process for new products with a focus on multi-sourced and line addition-based projects andtheir development lifecycle. This includes the intake of Critical Requirements, Tooling, Hard prototypes, PTR, and Production Launch. Responsible for timely communication of critical project information to key stakeholders, including JDIW staff, Product Development, Internal Manufacturing, and external vendors as each project may need. Ensure that all critical requirements are met for new products. Provide cost estimates, and create final BOMs and Routes for new productsCross-functional Communication
Represent assigned projects at all PD/JDIW cross-functional meetings Run all development process meetings and provide clear meeting summaries and updates throughout the project lifecycle Partner with the Manufacturing team for the development of all production tooling and fixtures that are needed for each new product Primary contact for external component development as neededReporting and Inventory
Responsible for maintaining project timelines in Wrike and tracking on-time delivery of samples, the accuracy of cost, and quality yields for all samples stages Support Senior Project Leads for tracking internal sample management and WD/WN location. Control of inventory assets (e.g., precious metals/stones) within your area(s) of responsibility in accordance with standard operating procedures (e.g., work order audit report).Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent 1 to 3 years of related experience CAD familiarity Project management experience Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation Strong computer skills: Microsoft package (Word, Excel, Project) Ability to work in a team atmosphere Experience or training in statistical process analysis Ability to understand, communicate and create technical manufacturing documentation#LI-EO1
