Project Logistics Manager

As a Project Logistics Manager, you will serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with the internal C.H. Robinson network on projects related to our Project Logistics division. In this role, you will work closely with multiple internal teams, engage directly with customers to build and strengthen relationships, and conduct analyses to help customers maximize C.H. Robinson’s technology offerings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Understand project requirements, including scope, site conditions, import/export processes, documentation, insurance, routing, carrier selection, quoting, reporting, and invoicing.Assist in RFQ preparation (commercial and technical) before project award.Develop and implement project procedures post-award, ensuring compliance and updates as needed.Manage overall project execution, collaborating with senior managers on method statements and work plans.Ensure contractual obligations are met, maximizing profitability and cost efficiency.Monitor customer credit status, insurance compliance, and claim settlements.Act as the primary client contact for critical issues and provide solutions.Consult legal counsel when facing potential liabilities in sea, surface, or air freight.Train and support internal teams while contributing to strategy and business growth.Track and report project financials, including budgeted vs. actual hours and billings.Prepare and oversee service agreements, ensuring senior management approval for carrier contracts.Supervise equipment loading and discharge at key locations.Follow company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

High school diplomaMinimum 5 years of project logistics experienceFreight forwarding experience (preferably in project cargo and break-bulk)

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited universityAbility to travel domestically and internationally as neededProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize with minimal supervisionStrong time management skills and ability to handle tight deadlinesAdaptability in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentPassion for delivering exceptional service to internal and external customersCommitment to a diverse and inclusive work environment
