We look forward to meeting you. **The Role** Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. This position is intended for the E25 Test Engineering Material, Equipment, and Shop group. The incumbent will be responsible for: • Leading the group's material procurement team. • Managing the flow and administration of material and equipment that is processed by our group. • Procuring material through the NNS company stock system, Perfect Commerce System, using an NNS Procurement Card, submitting purchases requisitions in SAP for purchase order generation, and reconciling transactions under multiple existing blanket purchase orders for external services. • Navigating a multitude of decision points regarding appropriate procurement methods and appropriate tracking and identification of material and equipment based on situational specifics. • Utilizing and becoming proficient in the IndySoft program, the SAP roles/modules needed to perform his/her job (Government Property, FSR submittals/leases, company stock req, purchase req./PO, EBOM, etc.), and our departmental databases. • Liaising with the many internal and external suppliers and customers that our group interfaces with. • Holding an NNS Procurement Card, properly managing it, and accurately and thoroughly reconciling transactions made using it. • Providing status to team, immediate management, and customers. **Must Have** Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: + NNS Apprentice School graduate + Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate + Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience + Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience + High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience + High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience **Nice to Have** • Possess a team/team player mentality • Strong critical/logical thinking and problem solving capability • High degree of organizational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail • Effective communication: strong verbal and writing skills • Ability to work in ambiguous situations: adaptable and flexible • Knowledge of SAP functionality • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically Excel and Access • A Program Management Professional training or certification **Why HII** We build the world’s most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
