Project Management Intern
**Description** Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is actively seeking a Project Management Intern to support complex research and development projects. The intern will support the program manager to fulfill project documentation, training, and reporting objectives. Our interns are valued members of the team tasked with work that is critical to the success of our projects. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site support in our Raleigh, NC office a few days per week to collaborate with the team. Project Manager Intern Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have an active interest in applying business management concepts to carry out project tasks. The candidate will collaborate with project managers, finance control analysts, and support program management office (PMO) leadership. The candidate will work in close coordination with the program manager and the PMO throughout all stages of the project lifecycle to monitor and control project execution. The selected candidate will: + Work with project managers to develop project plan documents, including budgets to meet contractual/project requirements. + Assist Program Manager in developing reports, documentation, and briefings about project processes. + Attend meetings with PMs, identify and record action items, and support coordination for task completion. + Assist with developing project status reports and other documentation as needed. + Work with PMs to execute requests to initiate purchases and travel approval requests. + Support budget analysis and cost projections. Support PM to monitor and control subcontractor expenditures against awarded total values. + Improve business processes as they related to project execution activities. Project Management Intern Required Qualifications: + Rising senior undergraduate student or graduate student + A strong interest in business, accounting, or marketing, + Organized with excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and the capacity to change priorities quickly and work effectively under deadlines + Team player with excellent communication skills Who is ARA?
