Project Management Manager
**Job Description:** The Manager Project Management oversees a team of project managers to ensure projects and initiatives are implemented according to expectations. This role collaborates with operational areas and in alignment with organizational objectives. **_The role is hybrid and will require travel to areas where Intermountain conducts business. Candidates who live in, or are willing to relocate to, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana and are within a reasonable commuting distance to an Intermountain Health care site are preferred.​ Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, CT, HI, IL, NY, RI, VT, and WA._** **Essential Functions** + Builds a winning culture with a repeatable, process-based approach that recognizes the interdependence of all key stakeholders in the solutions delivery process. + Leads a team of project managers to complete complex projects and programs on time and within budget. + Creates and maintains staffing plans to support the current and future work demands and project deliverables. Plans for and assigns resources to optimize capacity (capacity planning) and facilitates resource allocation across multiple business lines and functional areas. + Participates in the definition of and compliance with the overall Intermountain Project Management quality standards and best practices. Monitors and reports team performance and project KPIs. + Ensures proper monitoring and reporting of project deliverables and outcomes. + Responsible for directing the work of employees, including staffing, goal setting, coaching, and mentoring, employee recognition, engagement and training, recruitment, and performance management. + Regularly communicates with staff through huddles, team meetings, individual one on one meetings, rounding, and skip level interviews. + Manages customer, stakeholder, and vendor relationships and expectations. Focuses on solutions and strategies that create win / win situations both inside and outside of the organization. + Validates financial forecasts and expected benefits across projects and programs within portfolio and reconciles resources and other project expenses and tracks actual value to expected results. + Assists in annual budget process. Responsible for planning and management of the daily operations of a project management team within the parameters of the project timeline and budget. **Skills** + Leadership + People management + Stakeholder analysis and management + Business acumen + Problem solving + Decision making + Project Management and Project Management life cycle + Strategic planning and objectives + Change management + Communication **Minimum Qualifications** + 5+ years demonstrated leadership experience including coaching, training, and change management is required. Experience may include non-supervisory roles. + Proven success building and managing strong teams across a portfolio of complex projects and programs and leading caregivers and teams inside and outside of span of control is required. + Expertise in stakeholder identification/management, customer service, leading through influence, problem resolution, communication, and negotiation is required. + 5+ years proven success in program and project management disciplines with demonstrated ability to complete projects with on-time results and benefit realization is required. + Expert Level Certified Program or Project Management designation is required. Qualifying certifications include: Option 1: PMI-PMP, PMI-PgMP, PMI-PfMP, AHA-CHC, IAPM-CSPM, IAPM-CSAPM, AAPM-Master Project Manager, or GAQM-Certified Project Director **OR** Option 2 - PMI-ACP, PMI-DASSM, PMI-DAC, or PMI-DAVSC AND a minimum of 8-years’ project management experience. + Demonstrated executive presence including the ability to skillfully collaborate with senior and executive leaders and teams is required. + Previous expert-level project management experience in a complex environment is required. + Expert-level experience in stakeholder management and engagement with both strategic and operational elements of the enterprise is required. + Prior financial, budgetary, and capacity management experience with the ability to develop, manage, and track project budgets and associated value realization is required. **Preferred Qualifications** + Proven prior experience in Merger and Acquisition integration project management is preferred. + Advanced degree in a field such as business administration, information technology, construction management, or healthcare is preferred. The degree must be from an accredited institution and will be verified. + Prior experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery organization is preferred. + Demonstrated expertise in organizational and cultural change management is preferred. + 2+ years prior experience in a supervisory role with direct reports is preferred. **Additional Information** + This is an exempt, full-time position. Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience within the established pay range. In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition,, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary.
