Howmet Aerospace, Engines, is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team! This position will play an important role in the Airfoils segment to deliver solutions supporting Hoshin imperative to develop critical capabilities. The Advanced Project Management Specialist will support the development and lead the acquisition of solutions that require capital investment resulting in value creation when implemented. These solutions will deliver projects defined by the Hoshin including Vertically Integrated Equipment Design. This position will also institute a repeatable project milestone process to ensure capability, affordability, stakeholder alignment, quality, and speed.
Position can be located at any US Engines plant with preference given to Whitehall, MI location
Essential Functions:
Provide project management and support to develop, acquire and implement the delivery of solutions to develop Critical Capabilities defined by the segment. The position provides the conduit, primarily, between Advance Manufacturing and Procurement as well as engaging stakeholders in Operation, and Plants – driving the Team of Teams connection.Institute early involvement in Hoshin driven projects, including development of deliverables, product assessments, supplier assessments, and team developmentLead the development and maintenance of the supply base, identify projects and sourcing approach, and, commercial alignment with Procurement and Finance.The position will participate in development of solutions that follow a repeatable process. Elements of this process include stakeholder alignment, supplier evaluation (quality, delivery, and financial), change control, project target development and delivery, production performance, and project financial, operational, and delivery milestonesKey deliverable is the performance of the solution after implementation including quality, safety, delivery, and cost.Position will also support current projects; supplier and equipment performance; and institute spares and repair programs through the establishment of systems mentioned above.Project manage entities to complete milestones covering: Project Start, Proposal Development, Project approval, Development and Launch Project, Run Off and Run at Rate with suppliers, On-site Commissioning, Production Verification, and Project Verification/ValidationAid with contracts with selected providers that meet Howmet legal/compliance, price, and cash flow requirements.Major activities/key challenges
