Project Manager, China
I. GENERAL SUMMARY This position is responsible for focusing on China Localization and Innovation projects. The role requires close collaboration with commercial team leaders, engineering, supply chain strategic marketing managers, product managers, project teams from China and global sites, and external partners to lead innovation and manufacturing transfer projects. II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Collaborate with cross-functional, cross-site, and cross-platform team members to develop and execute localization and innovation projects that meet Made-in-China requirements. · Lead project management and serve as the primary communication liaison to the project team, functional leaders, and management during project reviews. Ensure projects are executed on schedule and within budget. · Develop project plans, identify dependencies, organize, and lead project teams, and assess time and budget estimates. Utilize Danaher Project Management tools and other methodologies to analyze critical paths, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions. Drive project tasks with discipline and rigor. Employ visual management to maintain full control of project timelines, resources, and budgets. · Foster a cohesive project team and a productive work environment. III. REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION Education & Experience: · Master’s degree or higher, with approximately 7+ years of work experience, including more than 3 years in project management roles within a related industry. · Major in automation, optics, electronics, mechanical engineering, or other related disciplines. A background in life science research or biomedical fields is a plus. · Certification or training as a Professional Project Manager or Danaher Visual Project Management, along with familiarity with the Danaher Business System, is advantageous. Business Expertise: · Apply knowledge of business, project costing, product cost analysis, including materials, labor, overheads, capital depreciation costs, and other variables that influence profit margins post-transfer. · Some working-level experience in China’s materials supply chain for commodities such as metal machining, plastics, optics, and PCBA. · Experience in team leadership within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment. Project Management: · Manage multiple related projects, establish the project team, create the project master schedule, and allocate project resources to align with functional expertise. · Predominantly based in Shanghai China but will be required to travel to different part of China as well as other Countries like Germany, Singapore, and United States. Problem Solving: · Identify and resolve team dynamics, project risks, and execution issues with agility and resourcefulness. People Skills: · Strong influencing ability to take timely actions or negotiate with external partners, suppliers, and customers. Language: · Fluent in both written and verbal Chinese and English.
