Cennox is looking for a Construction Project Manager to work remotely in the Los Angeles/Inland Empire area. Primary business is commercial construction and renovation services for financial institutions.
Position Summary:Project Manager responsibilities include managing commercial renovation projects, providing support to our site superintendents and employees, setting up sub-contractors, and assisting in daily office needs and activities. The ideal candidate should have project management and construction experience, interior finish experience, the ability to work without direct supervision, excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to organize their work using MS Office tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:Taking a project from conception to completionConstruction Site SurveysBudgeting and ProposalsClient NegotiationsSubcontractor onboarding and managementProject SchedulingProject Close-outTasks include but not limited to:Determine and define scope of work and deliverablesForecast resources needed to complete projectObtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisitesDraft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsManage costs to meet budgetProvide direction over contracts and subcontractsManage construction schedule and activities with onsite Superintendents Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelinesEnsure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codesSite inspections to verify the work meets Cennox quality standardsManage subcontractor and supplier relationshipsCoordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractorsMaterials ordering and managementStaff scheduling and managementInvoicingClient escalationsJob Requirements:Construction Project Management experience (5 years minimum) Commercial Interior project experienceWall finishesPaintingFlooringMillworkElectricalSaw cutsProficient reading and understanding blueprints and drawingsClean DMV/Background Check back to the age of 18Reliable transportation and flexible work hours as all site work is completed after hours and on weekendsHigh School diploma or equivalent. Degree preferred but not required, Construction Management Degree a plusOrganizational and multi-tasking skillsAbility to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costsHigh level of attention to detailDemonstrated skill in operation of computers, knowledge of MS office products, e-mail, and ability to learn specialized construction software programsOSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
