ICF is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to manage and coordinate electric vehicle charging and energy resiliency projects that are planned or underway.

The Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for managing activities related to the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of projects. The PM is responsible for maintaining a high-level project schedule, tracking and achieving key milestones, proactively identifying risks, building trust and communicating with stakeholders, leading vendors in planning and execution of key activities, updating internal trackers, and providing periodic reports on project status. 


The selected candidate will effectively function as LA County staff. The selected candidate will be required to report to the County of Los Angeles ISD facility a minimum of 2 days per week.

What you will be doing: 

Direct management, tracking, oversight, and on-schedule, on-budget delivery of multiple concurrent projects ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.Draft RFP and contract documents (scope of work, project requirements, deliverables, etc).Manage change orders and negotiation with contractors.Manage the relationship with customer departments and relevant stakeholders.Manage contractors, project schedule, and contract invoicing.Review design drawings, provide feedback to 3rd party vendor and approve final plans.Perform site assessments and provide recommendations on cost-effective project layout, applicable utility programs and tariffs and potential risks.Support program improvement by reviewing, incorporating, and contributing to lessons learned, and suggesting changes to process and procedure to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of project execution.Act as a single point of contact for all stakeholders, consistently communicating project progress, facilitating the resolution of issues, and following up on deliverables.Lead project meetings, presentations with stakeholders, internal reviews, and meetings with vendors.Oversee construction activities, including planned power outages, and ensure compliance with approved design.Determine and identify project critical paths.Establish effective communication with project team members and support them with required information about Project Status.Manage information and data within various software and databases.Gather project financial information and data from key project stakeholders.Provide support to the team, plan meetings, organize, maintain project records and interface with internal and external stakeholders.

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related disciplines (applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)5+ years professional experience within construction management, electric vehicle infrastructure and/or related experience1+ year(s) direct experience with the construction and installation of EV Charging stations/facilitiesMust have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Demonstrated capabilities in building and maintaining relationships with key market players in the commercial sectorsBroad knowledge of Construction Practices and Construction Management policies and procedures in CaliforniaExcellent written and verbal communications skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and strong organizational skills Experience with MS Excel, and MS ProjectFamiliarity with building and electrical codesExperience with the permitting process, utility tariffs and rebate programs

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$88,817.00 - $150,989.00
