Your New Role...

The Creative Services Sports Unit (CSSU) Projects Team is part of the TNT Sports Production Services & Operations Team and supports Linear Creative and Content, Design, Multimedia, BR Gaming, and Sales on the production of all pre-produced content, marketing & sales creative elements.

The Projects Team is the glue for CSSU creative development and production — holding everyone accountable to the overarching project goal. The projects group leads teams by driving their focus in a fast-paced environment. They are the main point of contact for our internal and external partners and clients and are the people to go to when an update is needed. They will listen to the needs of partners, clients and help drive improvements in how we work together. Finally, they will drive the project to completion.

This role will oversee a team of project managers and operations professionals responsible for postproduction scheduling and the production of linear graphics for TNT Sports. This role requires a strategic leader to manage the coordination of resources, timelines, and communication across multiple departments to ensure the seamless execution of both scheduling and graphics projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Management and Leadership (50%)People ManagerManage day-to-day team member needsMonitor and approve hours, overtime and PTO/UTO daysManage PTO scheduling for postproduction craftspeopleTeam growthWork with Director to identify and implement growth opportunities for individuals on the teamWork with director on how to coach team members to help them achieve their daily and long-term goals.Team project oversightOversee team members day-to-day project management to maintain a full overview of all projects.Manage team workload, bandwidth, and division of responsibility of the team.Monitor team workload and recognize when work required exceeds resources.  If/when this happens, work with Director to devise, create and implement strategic solutions.Manage and provide guidance and direction to coordinators in day-to-day responsibilities as determined per workload.Cultivate and maintain relationships to be main POC for various groups across the business, including creative, multimedia, production, social, production management, programming, design, business teams, marketing, sales and sponsorship, league, legal, talent services and Bleacher Report.Lead the team through change by creating a positive environment and helping team members adapt to new developments and business needs.

Operational Management (10%)Process/workflow IssuesIdentify process issues/concerns and work with Director on possible solutions. Help implement solutions.Process/workflow gapsIdentify areas of the business where process and workflow gaps may be present. Work with Director on possible solutions.Help implement solutions.

Lead long range planning (15%)Work with team and partners to understand future needsWork with team to build out the schedule to and identify any potential resource gaps. Put solutions in place to cover any potential resource gapsCreate and track budgets around future resource needs.

Postproduction Scheduling (5%)Postproduction POC for various groups across the business, including creative, multimedia, production, social, production management, programming, design, business teams, marketing, sales and sponsorship, Bleacher Report and others.Responsible for working with project management team, producers and craftspeople on weekly scheduling needs, communicating scheduling changes in a timely manner to all involved.Maintaining an intimate understanding of partner needs and expectations in order to ensure the appropriate creative resources are assigned to any given project, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the type of projects supported.Closely monitor editorial staff usage in order to identify areas of opportunity to ensure we are operating at capacity while simultaneously aiming to keep hard costs within a reasonable range. Look to play with alternate scheduling models, such as booking off-peak session times, with the goal of making sure staff is being fully utilized at all times.Anticipate partner needs and head off scheduling conflicts by providing alternate solutions and being able to pivot in evolving situations.Create and actualize work orders and projects in Media Pulse, run usage and cost reports while maintaining an accurate accounting of artists hours and tracking of freelance hard costs.

Design Project Management (5%)Assist creative production process for all on-air creative requests for TNT Sports properties.Manage projects from start-to-end by defining project scope, developing detailed project plans and milestones, managing schedules, leading communication, providing status updates and delivering final assets.Liaison between various groups touching a project including creative, multimedia, production, social, production management, programming, design, business teams, marketing, sales and sponsorship, scenic, league, legal, talent services and Bleacher Report.Main contact for producers/designers to communicate the daily business/project status, as well as the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on project deliverables to ensure project deadlines are on targetMain point of contact for outside vendors, assisting the sharing and receiving of assets between vendors and internal design teams.Manage designer schedule for individual projects and assign projects based on availability and timelines.Create, communicate, and adhere to production timelines.Manage the process of approvals and feedback as well as feedback to Management.QC of all design materials for accuracy.Deliver final creative.Liaison with Production on any late deliveries or changes to previously delivered creative.Understanding of Adobe Products to facilitate cohesion between designers.

Budget support (10%)Assist in tracking expenses as neededTrack and communicate freelance postproduction costsManage postproduction coding documents and work with team members to add proper coding to all projects.

Award/Presentation oversight (5%)Contribute to awards/presentation process as needed

Qualifications:

5+ years operational, production, project management experience2-3 years management experienceDemonstrates critical thinking and the ability to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.  Able to contribute to possible solutions and help implement changesStrong communication skills and ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external partners and clientsStrong organizational skills and an interest in pulling together the pieces to create a clear and concise plan.Understands the importance of cultivating and developing growth within the teamUnderstands company goals and how they translate to individual team goalsActs as a catalyst for change in an ever-evolving business environmentFlexibility to work unconventional hours and travel some.Position in full-time and based in Atlanta.
