This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Role and Scope:
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
managing the life cycle of compliance, load serving and reliability projects from project initiation to the identification, approval, and funding of a preferred solution.coordinating all engineering activities related to assigned projects and, interface with project stakeholders, including but not limited to various Engineering disciplines, Substation Construction, Operations, Contract Administration, Legal, Real Estate, Accounting etc.. Coordination with project initiators to identify project scope, procure needed engineering resources and services to develop scopes to support Cost Estimating and, drive to completion of all tasks leading to the approval of the internal approval of the project.Managing the engineering work in a manner which ensures compliance with safety, budget, and schedule requirements.Owning the initial project schedule and milestones, and coordinate with stakeholders in ensuring adherence to internal guidelines.Leading any ad-hoc administrative activities that may be required in fulfilling activities of issuing desktop requisitions to contractors in managing outsourcing activities.Essential Function:
Manage highly complex Transmission, Substation projects including, but not limited to, new substation additions and transformer, re-conducting and/or rebuilding of existing transmission lines, addition of new transmission lines, and major protection scheme modifications. Ensure development of accurate schedules and engineering resource projections. Work with System Planning project need statements, determines, and interprets the project scope.Coordinate and interfaces with all involved project team members.Provide oversight on project deliverables from the project initiation phase to project authorization phase.Ensure that timelines associated with every task of the projects are met per the initial funding and project need date. Ensure that proper study deliverables are met per the internal department expectations by adhering to the process flow including engaging other engineering disciplines. Work closely with the planning team in providing weekly updates on every milestone of the project. Ensure that schedule aligns with any other Power BI data and internal tracking tools. Develop required project funding and solution forms and present them to appropriate approval committees.Manage and track project costs to ensure compliance with financial requirements.Initiate corrective actions as necessary on problems throughout the engineering life cycle of the project. Participate in weekly internal calls to provide project updates and brief stakeholders on project progress and deliverables. Perform site walk downs with other engineering departments as deemed necessary. Perform any ad-hoc administrative activities related to the project purchase orders to be issued to external stakeholders.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Project Management (Electrical Engineering is preffered) Master’s Degree preferredExperience:
10 years of experience consisting of a combination of electrical engineering and project management experience Experience in Energy Delivery is preferredLicenses & Certifications:
