Manage multiple facilities projects including administrative office buildouts, refreshes, relocations, upgrades, and post-construction tasks in accordance with design and construction guidelines.Responsibilities include creating test fits and architectural diagrams, evaluating client requests, and coordinating cost estimates and schedules. Oversee consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards while maintaining high ethical standards. Collaboration with faculty, facilities managers, architects, engineers, and vendors will be key throughout the process.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Facilities Management, Architecture/Engineering or Design, Construction/ Project Management or related

Required Experience:
5+ years Facility Project Management, Facilities Management experience or related experience or combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies including design and construction practices, design and construction management, contract management, safety codes and requirements, and building codes. Ability to manage and integrate quality control throughout all phases of a construction project. Knowledge of space utilization and facilities management. Ability to analyze and determine space utilization needs and projections. Knowledge and experience to effectively direct and review the preparation of design and construction documents, review and approve contractor submittals, and to effectively resolve field problems during construction. Knowledge of AutoCAD/Navisworks. Knowledge of sustainability best practices. Ability to analyze and determine space utilization needs and projections. Ability to anticipate problems and minimize negative impacts on campus/college/unit/department. Ability to manage multiple complex and often-interdependent projects with varying scope and multiple stages of completion, concurrently. Ability to partner with departmental team members (both internal and external consultants/contractors). Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong Experience in AutoCad; Knowledge of Revit, 3-D modeling, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch Up, Rhino, 3D Max desired Experience working on a university campus is preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare and perform presentations to executives and internal colleagues are required. Enthusiasm for being both an individual contributor as well as part of a high energy team is essential. Working knowledge of NYS Building Codes, National Electrical Code, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) code requirements, and other National and Fire Protection Act (NFPA) standards. Revit experience a plus, LEED AP preferred.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $114,800.00 to USD $134,800.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
