The Project Manager, Financial Wellbeing Programs, supports cross-departmental and cross-programmatic projects and operations in the areas of Financial Health, Health Essentials, and Economic Mobility. The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring programmatic budgets, gathering data and reporting impact outcomes. The position involves collaborating across departments and outside the business unit to streamline and enhance processes, advance operational effectiveness, and integrate key projects and activities including marketing and technology. The Project Manager also assists in project planning and contributes to long-term goals to ensure continued effectiveness, successful growth, and return on investment. Responsibilities Manages all aspects of large and complex projects that align with the strategic priorities of the organization. Oversees all aspects of project management including project charter development, project scope development, project schedules, project costs, deliverable quality, human and material resource management, risk management, procurement, communications, and stakeholder engagement. Updates and maintains associated project management processes, including creating and implementing work plans, and helps to develop and implement new and evolving business processes. Manages financial and procurement elements of projects, to include collaboration with and management of vendor Master Services Agreements and/or Statements of Work as necessary. Reports on the status of projects to senior management to convey all elements of project status and the impact and results of work. Oversees the execution of administrative tasks as necessary, such as calendaring, organizing meetings, processing expense reimbursements, maintaining contact lists, and assisting with travel arrangements. Leads operational and/or logistical support for AARP programs and/or services. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED equivalent 3+ years’ experience in business administration, project management, program management, or nonprofit operations. Experience in personal finance, benefits access, workforce development, economic development, education or training preferred. Demonstrated ability to support a complex array of projects, operational and strategic goals, and relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and vendors. Highly developed problem-solving skills; team player with an entrepreneurial mindset. Experience in reviewing and analyzing data to monitor performance toward programmatic goals. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage vendor SOWs, contracts, procurement, and invoices within financial requirements and guidelines. Experience in developing and managing budgets and in financial forecasting to ensure alignment with programmatic and operational goals. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, working on multiple concurrent programs requiring gathering data, design, and project planning/management. Familiarity with a wide variety of business models both in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and the ability to see the potential application of these models in the context of social innovation.
