Job Description
To deliver Tier 1 Transformation Objectives for the region.
Leads the Future Workforce program within the Marine Site Characterisation (MSC) business line for the Asia Pacific region.
Works with regional leadership and global Future Workforce team to define transformation objectives, works with regional management, support functions and local project teams to deliver the objectives.
Serves as link between Future Workforce teams and the business. Participates in global Future Workforce steering groups for MSC.
Solves complex problems where precedent may not exist by
1) performing complex geophysical work around the process of acquiring, collating, processing, interpreting and reporting of complete and high-quality geophysical data in order to provide accurate and customised data deliverables to clients, 2) providing geophysical advice in multiple specialised technical disciplines,
3) developing solutions to clients by putting acquired geophysical data into context,
4) proposing improvements of research methods and quality systems,
5) providing technical input for tenders,
6) assisting with the establishment and compilation of project procedures,
7) making recommendations, including any supplementary investigations,
8) contributing to acquisition activities and,
9) taking on tasks that have been escalated by more junior team members. Often leads/coordinates the work of a small team and/or deputises the manager, but people management is not a focus. Requires a university degree and in-depth knowledge and experience of the organisation, processes and customers.
