Project Manager, Global Customer Care (Hybrid)

What you will do

As the Project Manager, you will support the Instruments Division - Global Customer Care organization by handling various projects, including operational, commercial, and new product development. This is a hybrid position; you will be able to work from home two days per week.

In this position, you will

Lead the team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control projects. Evaluate tradeoffs within the project.

Meet with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope; review with manager for approval.  Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with managers and team members. 

Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart.  Analyze critical path and major workstreams.

Collaborate with supervisor and/or project PM to establish sub-project budget. Monitor and maintain costs within budget.

Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze, and understand project risks, and develop and monitor a risk response plan.

Estimate, acquire, and assign project team resources. Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member. Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews.   

Develop a Stakeholder management plan for the project, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations.

Develop and Execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders.

Additional role-specific technical areas of responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary by the local hiring manager.

Incorporates end-user feedback to refine scope through the project lifecycle and can communicate changes, updates and decisions to key stakeholders

Understand and communicate how goals fit into broader organizational goals and prioritize tasks/schedules accordingly.

Manage multiple (8+) projects simultaneously, depending on complexity.

Manage a cross-functional team aiming to complete projects and achieve objectives.  

Serve as the PMO project lifecycle expert on the team, owning project planning and replanning, assigning tasks, and managing the schedule to ensure deadlines are met.

Perform project status reporting and exercise good judgment when escalating project and operational risks.

Leverage PM tools to manage open action, risks, key decisions, and lessons learned

Actively engaged in improving PMO processes, knowledge platforms, and culture.

Build strong relationships with project team members, stakeholders, and leadership.

Foster and maintain a positive project team environment.

Demonstrate ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment. 

What you need

Bachelor's Degree required

4+ years of project management-related work experience required

Demonstrated experience managing or leading projects of varying complexity through the full project lifecycle.

Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or other tools highly preferred

Certification in Project Management, CAPM or PMP preferred

Utilization of agile and/or waterfall planning methodology preferred

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for product design preferred

Lead projects for medical devices or regulated industries preferred

Travel Percentage: 10%
