Project Manager, Grants
Job Details:

Summary:

The Project Manager, Grants is responsible for the timely, accurate, and complete submission of grant applications to all federal, state, private, and not for profit agencies. The role supports the System Grants Administrator in reviewing new grant opportunities and meeting with key executive and department level stakeholders to understand key priorities and needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Leads weekly grant review meetings with key grant committee members.Organizes all requirements needed for grant submissions to federal, state, and private organizations.Maintains NYS grants gateway active status for all facilities.Tracks grants’ deadlines and administrative requirements for submissions.Tracks deadlines for letters of intent to apply, initial application, and supporting documents needed for a complete submission and when awarded tracks requirements for all interim and final report summaries.Tracks award dates and confirms grant amounts with the finance department lead.Completes all interim and final report summaries per the grant organizations specifications.Participates in all WMC grant committee meetings to include meetings with Merchant Mcintyre. Completes monthly grant summaries for WMC grant committee. Meets with key department stakeholders to draft and review narratives for grant scope, workplans, personnel requirements, and sustainability plans beyond the grant funding period. Collaborates with the finance department to complete budgetary summaries and track grant program expenditures and invoices needed for reimbursement.Facilitate all document uploads into several grant databases but not limited to the New York State Grants Gateway, grants.gov, Bon Secours Mercy Health, the Mother Cabrini Foundation.Supports the System Director of Care Transformation and Patient Experience in preparing general application questionnaires to be submitted to Westchester Medical Center’s grants team for review and tracking.Responsible for the coordination and submission of the Grants Approval Questionnaire to the WMC Grants Team.Works collaboratively with the participates in all WMC grant team meetings including meeting with merchant Mcintyre.Responsible for providing monthly updates on all grants to the WMC grants’ team monthly to include award status, total award amounts, capital purchases, and if personnel are included to operationalize the grant.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

1 to 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting required.

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required.

Licenses / Certifications: 

PMP Certification preferred.

Other: 

Knowledge of medical terminology required. Experience submitting grant applications, grant writing preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel required. Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
