A Project Manager under the repair project management team is responsible for working with product operations, the repair depots, sales and engineering on medium to large multifaceted requests that span weeks, months, or years and can encompass multiple sites and devices. Serves as a trusted advisor and key support to Management. Project Managers own project launch, planning, control, and delivery against timeline and budget metrics for assignments within their area of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Gathers input from the project team and works with more senior PM to develop a Project Plan for projects of limited scope - often repurposing old plans or working from examples. Uses established tools and templates to document the plan and communicates it to the team. Gathers feedback from the team and to revise and complete the Project Plan as neededGathers status updates from the project team and interprets inputs from the team to assemble a consolidated view of status. Provides regular status updates to internal stakeholders, the team and PM leadership as directedProvides assistance with coordination of deliverables and project assets to assist the project team. Personally addresses obstacles or issues that are minor in nature and escalates complex issues to senior team members for assistanceDemonstrates basic knowledge of PMI PMBOK and basic Project Management techniques and approaches including familiarity with vocabulary. Starting to use project management tools in basic applications including simple scheduling and staffing plans
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferredBeginner to intermediate communication and facilitation skillsBeginner to intermediate presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to direct supervisor/manager or within own work teamDemonstrated familiarity with project management approaches, tools and methodologies. PMP certification preferred or in progressBeginner to intermediate skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office and MS ProjectBeginner to intermediate skills in delegation and follow up
