The opportunityReporting to the Director of the Project Management Office, the Project Manager will lead and direct Information Technology company-wide projects. This includes defining a project plan and budget, driving the execution, financial tracking, quality control and final delivery of the project while adhering to required PMO project documentation and processes. The Project Manager is responsible for all communications, including that with project sponsors and stakeholders, as well as the IT Leadership team. In addition, they must identify any risks or issues on the project, escalate these as required and propose corrective action plans. The incumbent must demonstrate superior collaboration skills and techniques to effectively mobilize cross-functional team members to meet project objectives.
The role
Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.Define project success criteria and communicate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.Drive project teams through the project phases to meet milestones.Manage risks, opportunities, changes and conflict resolution within projects.Create project budgets and forecasts.Work closely with IT Finance to ensure accurate financial reportingPerform administrative tasks related to the projects such as: booking meetings, creating agendas, meeting minutes, preparing presentations and documentation.Work with the team to develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management and share with the PMO TeamCoach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team membersConduct project lessons learned and provide recommendations in order to recognize successes and identify areas for improvement.The requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information technology or other pertinent fieldsMinimum 5+ years of experience as a Project ManagerStrong English written and spoken communication skills for collaboration with project sponsors, stakeholders’ colleagues and third partiesFrench spoken communicationAbility to quickly adapt to changing environments and timelinesKnowledge of Sharepoint and SmartsheetE1/JDE experience would be an assetPMI certification is considered an assetCollaborative leadership, exceptional influence and interpersonal skills. Have an open mindThis position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English.
