Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Project Manager, Body in White Maintenance to oversee Body in White Maintenance projects. In this role, you will thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, leading a dedicated team on demanding projects. As the Sr. Project Manager, Body in White Maintenance, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, working closely with Design Engineering, Quality, and Production to drive successful product design changes and new designs from concept to full production.
You will:
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality. Define specifications for custom equipment to support production needs. Collaborate closely with external equipment integrators to design custom automation equipment. Lead large contract and internal teams during equipment installations and production startup support Validate and characterize new equipment and fixtures for seamless production implementation. Create comprehensive Manufacturing Instructions to document and standardize new processes. Design production workstations with a focus on ergonomics and operational efficiency. Develop mechanical equipment and fixtures to support manufacturing requirements. Drive design for manufacturability, considering cost, feasibility, and scalability. Manage and schedule regular and preventive maintenance on all equipment in Body in White.You Bring:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Extensive preventive maintenance planning. Maintenance system” software experience. CMMS “computerized maintenance management Proven experience in developing manufacturing processes for new and innovative products. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred, Catia is also a plus) for designing mechanical equipment, fixtures, and tooling. Experience with automotive automated manufacturing equipment and its integration into production environments. Track record of successfully introducing new equipment and processes into production. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey project details and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
