The Opportunity:

The Project Manager, Merchandising Operations Tools & Systems plays a pivotal role in the optimization and effective utilization of our tools and systems by our internal Merchandising teams and external Brand partners. In this role you will combine your technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and leadership skills to manage, implement, and enhance these tools and systems. You will also be responsible for creating comprehensive training materials to ensure all users can effectively leverage these tools. 

 

This role is hybrid and requires in office work at our San Francisco location on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and may at times require additional in office days as business needs arise. 

 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

 

Monitoring and Optimizing Usage: You will oversee the usage of current tools and systems, ensuring they are being utilized effectively by both internal Merchandising teams and Brands. This includes identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary to enhance user experience and maximize productivity.  Performance Reporting: You will regularly report on the performance and effectiveness of our tools and systems, partnering closely with IT, Merchant teams, and Brands to address any issues that arise. This includes troubleshooting problems, implementing solutions, and conducting regular audits and assessments to verify data accuracy and system integrity. Communication and Support: You will manage the day-to-day needs of Merchant teams and Brand partners related to tools and systems, overseeing all communications related to enhancements, issue fixes, etc. This includes providing ongoing support and assistance as needed. Training and Development: You will develop and implement comprehensive training programs, ensuring all Merchant teams and Brand partners can effectively use our tools and systems. This includes creating user-friendly training materials and conducting regular training sessions and office hours for both Merchant and Brand partners. Implementation and Coordination: You will oversee the successful implementation and consolidation of new and existing tools and systems, including documenting system workflows, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating with IT and Merchandising partners. This includes ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations. Process Evaluation and Improvement: You will partner with Merchandising and Tech leadership to evaluate current workflow processes, conduct needs assessments, and consult in software selection and recommendations of future solution options. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes, as necessary.

 

We are excited about you if you have: 

 

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience 5+ years' experience in a similar Project Management role with a focus on leading large-scale tech software strategy and/or program management initiatives from infancy to implementation Proven experience implementing change management strategies across large scale organizations. You should be comfortable with driving transformation and managing the impact of new systems and processes.  Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues, identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. High level of capability to work across multi-faceted and complex organizations.  Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. You should have an ability to work with and communicate between both technical and business partners as well as be comfortable presenting to senior leadership. A highly detail-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to keep track of changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable with managing multiple tasks and deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy in your work.  Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Experience in managing cross-functional teams (directly or indirectly) would be a plus. Experience with Asana highly preferred.

 

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,790.00 - $111,530.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
